I grew up in Long Beach California. After graduation from college, I decided to start a career in computers. I have been a software developer for over 20 years now. After about 10 years of experiencing some success, my career started to take a change for the worse. Bad managers, downsizing, working longer hours for less money, etc. I knew I had to make a change. This is about the time that I decided to look into the home business industry. This was five years ago. Five years later, I am now a network marketer. Like most network marketers, I am interested in discovering prosperity and abundance in my life through a home business opportunity. For a number of years, I struggled with my network marketing business. I was not aware that I had been trained incorrectly. I was taught by my mentors to put out fliers on cars, do product parties, pass out business cards, recruit from my warm market, voicemail deposits, and more. Recently, I discovered that there is a better way to build a network marketing business. The problem with my approach was that the above mentioned marketing methods did not work and only lead to more frustrations. What I learned is that people are naturally attracted to other successful people. Once I learned this, I have begun to rethink my mission. I realize that my customers want to know, what is "in it" for them. Since changing my focus, my mission, I have begun to see positive changes in my business. This is because one's dreams are automatically accomplished when your mission is about helping others. It is all about increasing your value in society. Your prospects are going to want to know "what's in it for me?" The better you can tell them, the happier and more loyal your customers will be. We all have two choices. We can choose to make a living or we can choose to design a life.
